Hawaii Dairy Farms planned
Ulupono Initiative is hoping that its 580-acre dairy farm planned for Kauai,Hawaii in the US, will begin construction in spring 2014, if the investor obtains the required building permits. Around 70% of the diet for the cows would be Kikyu grass, with the remaining feed being grain. Production is planned to be distributed throughout the islands state. Hawaii currently has two existing dairy farms and imports 90% of its milk from the US mainland.
