Glanbia and Fivemiletown partner up

Glanbia Ingredients Ireland has entered into discussions with Fivemiletown Creamery in Ireland “with a view to forming a long-term relationship between the two organisations,” the company says.

Fivemiletown Co-operative produces a range of soft and cheddar-style cheeses. The co-op will enter into consultations with its staff on the future of its cheese facility and will begin a long-term milk supply agreement with Glanbia. Glanbia will be collecting milk and testing it for Fivemiletown, as well as providing an advisory service to its suppliers. Glanbia will also have an exclusive licence for Fivemiletown’s retail cheese brands except for Boilie, which will remain with Fivemiletown.
