UK dairy and FSA debate blue cheese

The UK dairy industry is at loggerheads with the Food Standards Agency (FSA) over salt cutting targets, after failing to reach an agreement to reduce salt in blue cheese.

The FSA suggested that the dairy industry should cut salt levels in blue cheese to 1.9g per 100g, as part of a nationwide attempt to lower consumers’ salt intake.
