Nestlé Chile to close Osorno factory

Nestlé Chile has announced that its dairy factory in Osorno in the South of Chile is to close. From March 2015 the local production of powdered milk will be concentrated in the nearby Cancura factory.

The Cancura factory, inaugurated in 2012, is also located in the province of Osorno. It is the most modern plant of the company in the country and is more environmentally friendly.

Nestlé has an 80-year history of working in Chile, and aims to continue to enhance the development and growth of the national dairy sector.
