Executive vice president and chief finance officer Frederik Lotz has decided to accept a position as CFO in the private equity owned Dutch-based retail company Action and will leave Arla Foods after several years with the company. “Frederik has taken Arla and our finance community into a new era and he has particularly been our front-runner on going beyond budgeting and has established a more agile finance organisation and at the same time established strong finance programmes to manage our cash flow. Frederik has now decided to pursue a new career opportunity outside Arla, and I wish him all the best of luck in his new role,” says CEO of Arla Foods Peder Tuborgh.

For Frederik Lotz it has not been an easy decision to leave Arla Foods. “I am proud to have been part of Arla on its journey to create the future of dairy. In particular, I have always admired the active ownership of the farmers and their no-nonsense approach to business. Arla today is a strong company and will continue to deliver good growth with success. However, the opportunity for me to join Action and to move to Amsterdam with my family was simply too good to pass up. I sincerely wish Arla all the best going forward. It has been a privilege,” says Lotz.

Frederik will leave Arla by 31 July 31st. The process of finding his replacement has now been initiated. “We are searching for an individual who can continue the development of our finance function and maintain a high performing finance community for one of the world’s largest dairy companies with a revenue of €11 billion,” says Tuborgh.
