Friesland launches its own quality scheme

Friesland Foods, the Dutch-based dairy cooperative, will launch its own milk quality assurance programme involving farmer-suppliers starting January 2006.

So far, the co-op had required only that suppliers produced milk according to regulations of the Dutch national KKM quality control scheme with the dairy of course running its own quality tests in parallel. The new control scheme is entitled
