Doorstep deliveries reach a dead end
Jersey Dairy in the Channel Islands is ending its doorstep delivery service to around 4,500 homes.
Jersey Dairy is to end doorstep milk deliveries due to substantial losses, as more people prefer to buy milk in shops than have it delivered.
Managing director Kevin Keen commented that elsewhere in the UK, businesses other than dairies have begun delivering milk. “It’s possible that someone here will look at it as a business opportunity, but certainly not one that we will be able to manage.”
