Danone consolidates Indian operations

French dairy giant Danone is combining its Indian dairy business with its baby and medical nutrition units in the country. Danone has also moved its Indian headquarters from New Delhi to Mumbai, and Laurent Marcel, the firm’s Baby Nutrition India managing director, will now manage the entire Indian operations. Danone sells a variety of yogurts and fresh dairy products under its Oikos, Danio, Activia, Danissimo, YoCrunch and Ser brands, among others.
