UK – First Milk is increasing the price is pays suppliers for milk.

The co-operative will increase its members’ milk price by 0.3 pence (0.4 euro cents) per litre. The rise is due to increases in the retail price for milk by a number of First’s major customers.

Commenting on the announcement, First Milk chief executive John Duncan said “We have been working directly with our customers to increase the price they pay for their milk, to help offset increases in our members’ on-farm costs of production, and we are now seeing a return from that work.”
