UK – Three of the UK’s leading supermarket chains have agreed to increase retail milk prices.

The first to hike prices was Tesco, which added 3.5 pence (5 euro cents) to a litre of milk. That was followed by similar moves from the Asda and Morrison’s chains.

The increase was called for by farmers who say production costs have risen.
