ITALY – A dairy’s new yogurt brand is to bear the name of the late Franciscan friar Padre Pio. According to the national news agency Ansa, the product has the Vatican’s blessing.

Devotees of Padre Pio, who died in 1968, believe he had supernatural powers. The yogurt, made by Bitondo, is available in 13 varieties and has already been dubbed the ‘yogurt of angels’.
