Overall volume sales in the UK have increased by 108% for a2 Milk over the past year, which has now been given the seal of approval via an independent trial run by Netmums. It found that 86% of all testers would recommend the product to a friend.

After trying a2 Milk, a natural cows’ milk proven to be easier to digest than regular milk with 155 families nationwide, 90% of mums in the trial who reported they usually struggle with drinking cows’ milk felt a positive difference from switching to a2 Milk.

The endorsement comes on the back of a successful year for the dairy company, and the product is now stocked in almost all major supermarket retailers. It follows the launch of new clinical research in April, published in the Nutrition Journal, which compared the impact on those that drank conventional cows’ milk – milk with the A1 protein – with that of a2 milk, and found that those who drank a2 milk had no gastrointestinal symptoms, often associated with lactose intolerance.

Scott Wotherspoon, CEO of the a2 Milk company UK and China, says, “It’s so rewarding to see a positive and genuine response from parents which shows a2 Milk really can make a difference to those who normally struggle with milk. Word of mouth is powerful – we want real customer testimonials to drive others to try a2 Milk to bring people back to real UK dairy.”
