Cream cheese gets fresh herb twist
GERMANY – One of Germany’s most innovative dairies has launched the country’s first ever aubergine flavour cream cheese.
Giacomo Milchproduckte, the Berlin-based company that launched the Indian-style yogurt Lassi in the summer of 2003, which is reported to be selling well nationwide, has also launched cream cheese in a range of other flavours. These include dill with capers and horseradish and rucola with garlic.
The new product is flavoured with fresh herbs that constitute16% of the weight, as well as real aubergine.
Created by Giacomo’s managing director Armit Ranka, the product is made with milk from the Mecklenburg-Vorpommern region and is sold in 150g pots at
