Favourable weather for New Zealand milk
According to CLAL.it, a consultancy firm in the dairy sector, favourable weather patterns are maintaining milk production levels in balance in New Zealand, while in Australia milk output is seasonally low, but changeable weather patterns are helping to maintain milk volumes higher than projected.
“Current favourable milk receipts produce optimism, but during the next six months some negative factors could change prospects,” the firm warns. New Zealand has seen an uptick of 8.63% in June-November 2011 versus the same period in 2001, while Australia has an increase of 2.95% over the same number of months.
