Arla sells Semper

DENMARK/SWEDEN – Arla Foods announced this week that it is to sell its Swedish Semper subsidiary to private investment firm Triton.

Semper produces baby food, gluten-free products, frozen ready meals and a range of health food products. The sale comes after Arla announced last year that it would concentrate on its core dairy products business.

Also at Arla this week, Jens Bigum, the company’s managing director, said that he is to retire at the end of the year.
