Everswinkel in Germany is to be the new headquarters of what could turn out to be Europe’s largest ice cream makers: DMK Eis. Following a blueprint established in summer 2011 this daughter of the Nordmilch-Humana Deutschen Milchkontor (DMK) dairy has already established an ice cream marketing presence in 25 countries worldwide, although top customers are still the main European retail chains. Managing director of DMK Eis, Frederic Dervieux, reveals that his company already manufactures over 300 different types. “The market is clearly innovation-driven. It is our aspiration to constantly reinvent ice cream,” he says.
