FrieslandCampina appoints Gunning
Tex Gunning has been appointed a member of the supervisory board of the Netherlands-based dairy company, Royal FrieslandCampina. Gunning currently sits on the executive committee of AkzoNobel, where he is responsible for decorative paints. He is also a member of the supervisory board of TNT Express. He previously held various management roles at Unilever and was CEO at Vedior.
Tex Gunning succeeds Rob ter Haar, who has retired by rotation as a supervisory director and is no longer eligible for re-election. The board of FrieslandCampina is made up of 13 members. Nine of the members sit on the executive board of Zuivelcooperatie FrieslandCampina and four members are external supervisory directors.
It was previously announced that Sjoerd Galema and Hans Stocker would be joining the supervisory board of Royal FrieslandCampina and the executive board of Zuivelcooperatie FrieslandCampina. Sjoerd Galema and Hans Stocker succeed Kees Wantenaar and Jorrit Jorritsma, who retired. Additionally, Piet Boer succeeded Kees Wantenaar as the new chairman of the supervisory board of Royal FrieslandCampina and of the executive board of Zuivelcooperatie FrieslandCampina. Jan Uijttewaal has been elected as the new vice-chairman of the supervisory board and the executive board of the cooperative. He succeeds Boer. Peter Elverding has been re-elected as a member of the supervisory board.
