Danone strengthens grip on Yakult

France – Danone has increased its shareholding in Yakult Honsha to 19%.

The investment was made through a subsidiary of Danone Asia Pte, Group Danone’s Singapore-based Asia-Pacific holding company.

In an official statement, Danone said: “Group Danone regards the increase in shareholding as a long-term investment, reflecting Danone’s confidence in the company and its management.”
