FINLAND/SWEDEN – Finnish dairy producer Valio has reported that exports of its lactose free-milk drink to Sweden have smashed projected figures.

The product was first exported to Sweden at the beginning of November. The company has said that if sales continue as they have done in the first few weeks the annual sales target will grow to 300,000 litres – a figure five times the initial sales goal. However, Valio has also stated that because the drink is new to the Swedish market sales figures were difficult to estimate.
