GERMANY – German dairy processor Karwendel won this year’s Primax cheese awards at the Intermopro show in Dusseldorf last week.

This is the fourth successive year that Karwendel has won the award in a row. Germany is the largest cheese consuming nation in Europe.

Scandinavian co-operative Arla Foods scooped second place in the awards. It is the second year running that Arla has been the highest placed foreign cheese supplier. Third place was awarded to German company Hochland.
