Cheese recalled
USA – Ariza, the Californian producers of Queso Fresco cheese, have recalled 10,000 packs of the product following a listeria scare.
The Food and Drug Administration found that samples of the cheese contained listeria, although there have been no reports of illnesses as a result.
Ariza has voluntarily recalled cheeses with the UPC code 3313688262 and a use by date of 26 September.
The company said that the product, which is sold in vacuum-sealed clear bags, was distributed throughout New York and California.
