Ulcer fighting yogurt takes Japanese top spot
JAPAN – Meiji Dairies’ Probio Yogurt LG21 has become the best selling probiotic yogurt in Japan, just a year after its launch.
The product is backed by research that claims that it can help to suppress the bacteria helicobactor pylor, which is thought to be a major cause of stomach ulcers. However, although the yogurt’s effects can be reported in academic journals, it is illegal for Meiji to publicise its effects.
