DMK wins training award for apprentice scheme

In Germany, the Zeven plant of the DMK Group was chosen as the “training company for the German Dairy Industry 2018” as part of the 111th ZDM Association Day. The “Training Company of the Year” award was jointly launched by the MIV (Dairy Industry Association) and ZDM (Central Association of German Dairy Farmers) in 2012 and honours a company that is particularly committed to providing quality and future-oriented training.

From now until the end of 2019 the DMK site in Zeven will be able to use the “apprenticeship company of the German dairy industry 2018” seal of quality on packaging, in correspondence and on the internet for the recruitment of new talent.

In addition, five trainees, accompanied by an instructor, are off on an exciting and eventful Berlin weekend.

The aim of the award is to present the technically demanding and modern occupations in the dairy industry with publicity in order to sustainably consolidate their great potential for a secure future job.

Jobs for dairy technologists and dairy laboratory technicians are in great demand in all areas of the food industry. At present, there are still free training places in many places throughout Germany. In addition, this prize should be an incentive for the entire dairy industry to work even more for the education and training of young people.
