INTERNATIONAL – Land O’Lakes, Express Dairies and Dairy Crest have all announced staff movements this week

At American co-op Land O’Lakes, Gary Corbett has been appointed as head of the company’s fluid milk supply division. Corbett takes over from Land O’Lakes vice president for public affairs, who has been in charge of the division since its creation last October.

Corbett has previously worked for Dean Foods, Swiss Valley Farms and the Dairyman’s Cooperative Creamery Association.

In the UK, Express Daires has announced that Gordon Summerfield has joined the company as a non-executive director. Gordon is also chairman of Food from Britain and is a former president of the Dairy Industry Federation. In the past, he has also spent 14 years with Unigate.

Russell Edey and Allan Price have retired from the Express board.

Also in the UK this week, the country’s largest dairy firm Dairy Crest has said that board member Bill Brown is leaving the company on 7 June.

Brown joined Dairy Crest as director of distribution in 1992 and was appointed to the board in 1995. He is leaving the company following the integration of Unigate’s dairy and cheese business, which Dairy Crest took over in 2000.
