Krones reports increased sales

Krones, a dairy sector supplier of equipment, increased its sales by 4.4% in 2018 to €3.8 billion. At the end of 2018 the company had orders worth €1.2bn in its books. Krones expects to achieve sales growth of 3% for the group in 2019.

In terms of material prices, the company expects no tangible relief in 2019, and this also applies to personnel costs.

Krones’ price increases for all filling and packaging technology and process technology machines as of May 2018 are expected to have slightly positive earnings effects for the 2019 financial year.

However, by focusing on raising prices, Krones says the achievement of 2019 targets are more uncertain than in the past.
