UK – A report released this week claims that six of the UK’s major dairy firms are becoming uncompetitive and must go through a period of great change to remain in the market.

Future Players Analysis suggests ways in which the companies should move forward, concentrating on ten areas which show how current how performance may change and how companies will respond to competition.

The report details the current value of the UK’s top 50 dairy firms and predicts the strategy each is likely to take in the next 12 months.

It lists the top five dairy firms by sales as Northern Foods, Dairy Crest, Express Dairies, Birds Eye Wall’s and Arla.
