USA – The American Dairy Association has been trying to turn lovers off chocolate and onto cheese for Valentine’s day.

The association offers cheese packages on its website including a ‘red, white and moo Valentine’s day gift box’ at $48 (54 euro) and a ‘hunk of love’ Cheddar package.

Through www.ilovecheese.com website, the association has also been running a Valentine’s day competition to find America’s greatest cheese lover. The winner will receive a trip for two to the Montpelier creamery in Vermont, a two-night stay in a four start hotel and a year’s supply of cheese.
