UK – Eden Vale has this week launched a new line in its Ski yogurts range.

Called Ski Deep Fill Fruit, the yogurt has fruit pieces at the bottom of its 160-gram pot, topped with Ski’s ‘Best Ever’ yogurt. The yogurt contains lactobacillus casei cultures, which are said to help to maintain the digestive system. It retails at 39p (0.63 euros).

Eden Vale claims that the product’s 21.9% fruit content is higher than any of its competitors. It is available in five flavours – apple and blackberry, strawberry, peach, red cherry and pineapple.

Eden Vale is the chilled dairy product division of Northern Foods. Its main brands include Ski yogurt, Munch Bunch yogurts and fromage frais and Mars licensed desserts.

Last week, Northern Foods reported that sales for the last quarter of 2001 were up 6.5% on the same period in 2000.
