Almil bought by Hochwald

In Germany, Almil and Hochwald Foods have signed a contract for a majority stake in Almil. From the start of next year Hochwald will take over the majority, subject to approvals.

There is no direct production being run by by Hochwald, and Almil will continue to exist as an independent company and continue to purchase raw milk under existing contracts. The firm specialises in the trade and production of dairy ingredients and dairy products. With the investment, Almil secures greater flexibility in the flow of raw milk and a significant reduction in dependency on the spot market, the companies say.
