Nestle Foods has chosen the Combibloc aseptic packaging system for the re-launch of its Carnation Light and Simply Double cream products.

The Combiblock filling line was installed at Nestle’s plant in Ashbourne earlier this year, replacing two reel fed filling lines. The system appealed to Nestle because of its flexibility – up to five different carton sizes can be run on the line with changeover in a matter of minutes.

The sleeve fed Combibloc system provides rigid packs and headspace. The designs are printed using the roto-gravure process for maximum on-shelf presentation.
