New venue for British Cheese Awards
UK – The Cotswold town of Chipping Camden is to be the new venue for the British Cheese Awards.
According to the organisers, the growing success of the Awards necessitated the move as increased requirements in terms of logistics and capacity could no longer be met by Stow-on-the-Wold.
The event moved from London to Stow in 2000 when it was opened to the public for the first time. Over 7,000 visitors attended, keen to sample and buy the finest British cheeses. This year the event was extended over a weekend and lured in 12,000 cheese enthusiasts from all over the world.
