Boer named chairman of the board at FrieslandCampina

Piet Boer has been named as chairman of the board of the Netherlands-based dairy Zuivelcooperatie FrieslandCampina U.A. and chairman of the supervisory board of Koninklijke FrieslandCampina. Boer will succeed the current chairman of the board and the supervisory board, Kees Wantenaar, on 14 December 2011. Wantenaar is retiring having served since the merger of Friesland Foods and Campina at the end of 2008. Boer has been vice-chairman since 2010. He has a dairy farming business in Biddinghuizen (the Netherlands).
