SalzburgMilch ramps up production

Production at the Austrian dairy SalzburgMilch is currently in full operation in order to be able to guarantee the milk product supply of the population. Managing director Andreas Gasteiger and his team have been coordinating all employee health measures in order to be able to continue to secure production.
SalzburgMilch is the third largest dairy company in Austria. It made important preparations as a critical infrastructure company long before the Covid-19 crisis in Austria and is currently adapting the necessary measures to the new developments.
In addition to the strict hygiene measures, which have always applied in the company, special regulations have been in place for all employees for two weeks in order to protect their health and thus to be able to maintain production.
Even though the loss of tourism and the entire catering trade has at the moment significantly decimated the large container production area, which is also important for SalzburgMilch, all filling systems are still running at full speed in order to be able to serve an increased demand in the food trade.
In addition, everything is currently being done to ensure that milk collection from the 2,500 SalzburgMilch farmers remains secure.
