DMK sells Sanotact in Germany

Germany’s DMK Group is selling its subsidiary Sanotact to Flotte Holding. Sanotact, based in Münster, specialises in nutritional supplements. Flotte will completely take over the Münster location, including employees.

“In summer 2019, we developed a strategic target, ‘DMK 2030’. From this, we are pursuing a focus that is primarily focused on dairy products,” explained CEO Ingo Müller.

Sanotact, with its mainstays in food supplements, glucose and breath fresheners, is not part of DMK’s core business.

“As Germany’s largest dairy co-operative, we are concentrating on our core business with dairy products. This enables us even more to unlock the potential of DMK and to grow in these areas,” said Müller.

The company has already made a number of changes accordingly. The baby food business segment, for example, has been expanded to include the Alete brand, and in the whey processing sector, the DMK Group has become one of the world’s largest providers of whey derivatives with the acquisition of DVN. The cheese business has also been expanded with the Dutch brand Uniekaas.
