Kerry expands ingredients business

IRELAND &#8211, Food and dairy group Kerry has spent 94 million euro purchasing four companies with a combined annual turnover of 60 million euro.

In the USA, the company has bought Geneva Group and Hickory Specialities. Geneva manufactures savoury and sweet dairy ingredients to the foodservice and processing sectors. Hickory is a supplier of liquid smoke flavours.

In the UK, meanwhile, Kerry has acquired the sauces and flavoured butters divisions of Voyager Foods. In Brazil, the company has bought Siber, a supplier of ingredients to the ice cream and bakery markets.

Kerry has spent 600 million euro on acquisitions this year, including the 240 million euro purchase of Golden Vale.
