New event for cheese specialists
Next year will see the Dairy Industry Association of Australia stage Cheese Science 2002.
Due to take place in Melbourne from 10 to 12 July, the conference is aimed at cheese manufacturers and researchers. Organisers say it will cover industry issues and provide a technical basis for industry advancement.
The conference programme will cover a full range of scientific and technological issues associated with modern cheese manufacturing, including cheese flavour chemistry, nutritionally enhanced cheeses, grading and flavour profile, membrane technologies and genetically modified organisms.
There will also be an opportunity for research scientists and graduate students to present the results of their work as poster presentations.
A select few will be invited to give short oral presentations. For details, contact DIAA. Tel: (+61) 3 9326 9208. Fax: (+61) 3 9326 5949. E-mail: [email protected].
