Hochwald wins MIV training award

Hochwald’s location in Hungen, Germany has been chosen by representatives of the Dairy Industry Association (MIV) and the Central Association of German Dairy Farmers (ZDM) as the ‘2020 Training Company’ for the German dairy industry.
The jury was impressed by the extraordinary flexibility and the quality and future-oriented training at Hochwald, thereby recognising the exemplary behaviour in promoting young people, it says. The programme deals with around 100 trainees in more than 14 professions.
The trainees are looked after individually at Hochwald. Funding opportunities and opportunities for further development are already offered during the apprenticeship through the trainee plus programme, and this continues after the apprenticeship.
For example, trainees Celine Zeimens and Joshua Müll successfully completed their training as milk technologists at the Hungen site. Part-time training enabled the young parents in the middle of their training to meet their family responsibilities and still acquire a qualified training qualification.
“We are a team of qualified employees. Investing in training to secure the future is an essential building block for long-term corporate success in times of increasing skills shortages. That is, why we train for our own needs – the ideal prerequisite for young people to be taken on after they have completed their training,” says Frank Detemple, head of human resources.
There are also two more award winners from Hochwald this year. Peter Eiblmayr from the Erftstadt site was honoured as trainer of the year, while Selina Wassermann from the Hochwald site in Hünfeld was honoured as the best dairy laboratory assistant of the year.
