Hochdorf sells Marbacher Ölmühle
Swiss dairy concern Hochdorf has sold Marbacher Ölmühle, a wheat germ business, to a German company with a focus on long-term involvement in the organic food industry. The sale is from its Baby Care and Dairy Ingredients division.
Hochdorf Holding acquired Marbacher Ölmühle in 2014 to strengthen its wheat germ business internationally. When Hochdorf removed itself from the cereals and ingredients sector, the company lost its strategic importance.
With the sale of Marbacher Ölmühle, Hochdorf Group completes the streamlining of its corporate portfolio in connection with the strategic realignment. Hochdorf can therefore focus on the areas of baby care and dairy ingredients from the beginning of 2021.
“We are proud to have found a strategic investor for Marbacher Ölmühle, which can positively develop the company further,” says Peter Pfeilschifter, CEO of the Hochdorf Group.
