ADPI announces expanded resources in 2021

The American Dairy Products Institute (ADPI) has announced the addition of three subject matter experts to its Center of Excellence resource group for members.

“ADPI is excited to offer our members access to these individuals who are widely recognised in the industry and easily acknowledged as subject matter experts. All three of these individuals have been engaged with ADPI and many of our members during their careers and we feel their addition to the programme will complement the existing panel of experts, providing ADPI members with a wide range of experts on various topics,” says Blake Anderson, president and CEO, ADPI.

Terry Lensmire, a master cheese maker, is recently retired from Agropur. He has been honoured as a cheese maker champion within the Wisconsin Cheesemaker’s Contest and is also a renowned judge of the contest. He has consulted and worked with the CDR at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and is the principal of Lensmire Dairy Consulting.

Tom Suber, retired past president of USDEC, and now principal of Suber Global, a strategic trade consulting firm, has years of experience in global market access and development, export, market strategy development and global trade. In 2017, he received the ADPI Award of Merit for his lifetime contributions to the dairy products industry.

Dr MaryAnne Drake leads the SDFRC at North Carolina State University, and is recognised as one of the leading dairy sensory and flavour science experts internationally and in the US. Dr Drake and the SDFRC team work closely with the US dairy industry through the ongoing relationship with Dairy Management, Inc and the Dairy Research Council. She has been a frequent instructor in ADPI’s Dairy Ingredient Training Courses and is often engaged with ADPI Seminars and Forums.

ADPI’s COE is a benefit of membership, and the non-staff subject matter experts are contracted on an annual basis.
