Dairy-Tech Online hailed a huge success

Dairy-Tech Online has been a resounding success with more than 6,500 delegates signing-up to the 11 sessions between 3-17 February, the RABDF reports.

The two-week-long event, which consisted of seminars, conferences, webinars, and practical demonstrations, welcomed speakers from across the world, who shared their expertise on everything from grazing and use of technology to overcoming mental health challenges.

The event featured some of the sectors leading figureheads who outlined the challenges and opportunities for the industry. While the sessions highlighted some major hurdles such as ammonia emissions regulations, net-zero targets and the rise in plant-based products, there was also a lot of optimism about the future.

RABDF managing director Matt Knight said: “The British dairy industry has a remarkable story to tell. Not only do we produce great tasting and nutritional products, but we also have some of the highest health and welfare on our farms globally!

“Since the start of the pandemic, the sector has shown great resilience with consumers turning to dairy in times of crisis. We heard in the dairy market session how the grocery market is booming with a huge upturn and a total food growth of 10%. It’s good to hear experts saying they are cautiously optimistic about milk prices,” he said.

Dairy-Tech Online was made possible due to the support from its sponsors, 80 exhibitors and speakers. Mr Knight added: “We are indebted to their support and we would encourage you, if you have not already, to go and check out the sponsor and exhibitor pages to see what they may be able to offer you. You can do this by going clicking on the sponsors 2021 and exhibitor tabs at www.dairy-tech.uk.”

For anyone who missed the sessions, they can be rewatched by visiting dairy-tech.uk and clicking on the ‘Rewatch’ tab on the top right of the screen.
