Delta, Greece’s largest milk processor, has joined forces with Arla Foods’ subsidiary in Greece to establish a jointly-owned marketing operation. The new company will be charged with growing Delta’s exports and improving sales of Arla products in eastern Mediterranean countries.
The move follows news of Delta’s most successful year yet, with the company reporting a 15% increase in turnover during 2000 to r360 million. Delta produces 160 different dairy products, with yogurt its main export
