Eatlean adds Tasty Mature Cheese to range

Eatlean has launched its new Eatlean Tasty Mature cheese, with just 10% fat (70% less fat than cheddar).

With 70% less fat, 40% fewer calories and 35% more protein than standard cheddar, Eatlean brings a healthier alternative to fridges across the UK, with 96% of consumers agreeing they would buy this cheese[1].

Matured longer for full flavour, lactose-free and naturally made with 100% British cow’s milk, Eatlean Tasty offers an alternative to standard cheddar cheese which is, according to the brand, ideal for melting, baking, slicing or toasting.

With 98% of the UK population consuming cheese[2], the Eatlean Tasty range has real potential to help support the long-term change to improve the nation’s health, says the brand. A switch from standard cheddar cheese to Eatlean Tasty would reportedly save every cheese lover 3,605g of fat and 19,710 calories per year[3].

Founder of Eatlean, George Heler, comments: “For so many of us now nothing is more important than our health and the health of our loved ones. Eatlean Tasty is a ground-breaking solution for people wanting to lead healthier lives, and still enjoy the foods that they love.”

Eatlean Tasty has already won a spot in the fridge of four-time Paralympic Champion and Eatlean Ambassador Kadeena Cox. She says: “Eatlean takes all the good stuff that cheese has to offer and unlocks it for athletes and nutrition-conscious food lovers across the country. For me Eatlean Tasty is amazing because it gives me all the joy of standard cheddar, with a much lower fat and calorie content.”

Eatlean business unit director Barrie Saxby adds: “With 70% less fat than cheddar, Eatlean Tasty Mature sits between the half fat cheese range and our original 3% fat Eatlean, offering a fantastic alternative for those wishing to make health gains.”

Complementing the Eatlean 3% fat original cheese, Eatlean Tasty is available as 350g block, 180g grated or in 7 x 30g snack bar packs directly online at Eatlean.com.
