Stegmann Emmentaler Käsereien rebrands as Meggle Cheese

Matthias Oettel and Ferenc Tahy
Stegmann Emmentaler Käsereien in Germany is trading under a new name with immediate effect. The company, which has been part of the Meggle Group since May 2021, is now operating as Meggle Cheese.
“We are using our strong brand and making Meggle Cheese competitive for the future as a producer of high-quality Emmentaler,” explained Matthias Oettel, CEO of Meggle Group.
Oettel adds that the lean organisational structure and the synergies with the company headquarters in Wasserburg will also ensure this. Together with Ferenc Tahy, he continues to manage Meggle’s new cheese division. Tahy is in charge of the business at the location, he noted, “Since the acquisition, we have been investing heavily in the plant and the technical equipment in Altusried. We will continue to optimise the product range and sales channels in the long term. In the future, the administration, which is currently still located in Kempten, will be relocated to the production site.”
