Joseph Heler Cheese acquires Futura Foods Wales

Joseph Heler has acquired Futura Foods Wales for an undisclosed sum.

Futura Foods Wales, based in Minffordd, Wales, currently employs 60 people and specialises in the cutting, blending and packing of multiple cheese formats. It is BRC AA accredited and Red Tractor certified.

The site is currently working with Cheddars, Mozzarella, Territorials and Continental cheeses.

Joseph Heler managing director, George Heler, said: “Futura Foods Wales is a fantastic site with huge potential. It offers the Joseph Heler customer base increased capability and capacity across all cheese formats. In addition we have further capability investments planned for this year securing a really positive future for current employees and future employees in the area.”

As part of the transaction Joseph Heler will continue to supply Futura Wales’ existing customers and conduct business as usual.
