AUSTRALIA &#8211, The Dairy Research and Development Corporation (DRDC) is calling all research scientists and graduate students to present papers, either in oral or poster format, at its Farm to Fork 2001 conference.

To be held at the Melbourne Convention Centre from 18 to 20 July, the conference will look at optimising milk production, processing, distribution and marketing.

Speakers from research centres throughout the world will cover five main themes: increasing nutrition through farm practices, developing milks with health-giving properties, improving product quality, consumer concerns and system improvements.

The graduate with the best presentation will receive a prize of $1,000 (613 euro). Applications close on 19 January 2001.
