Germany dairy Karwendl-Werke upgrades software

One of Germany’s largest private dairies, Karwendel-Werke, with brands including Exquisa and Miree, ships around 42% of its production abroad. The company supplies and exports groceries with a best-before date, so the products must be available to the customer just in time.

The Karwendel plant aims to ensure customer satisfaction through delivery reliability, as well reducing process throughput times and resource consumption. It has been using Anton Software’s EVA shipping and export system since 2005. Since then, shipping and export volumes have grown significantly, and requirements in delivery times and export processes have increased significantly. Therefore, Karwendel switched to the EVA7 system in 2021, which was implemented during ongoing operations.

“At first we were concerned that the changeover to EVA7 would cause problems, but this change went almost smoothly. All of the requirements were precisely coordinated in advance, and we then always had direct contact in every project phase. This was important for us, since our products naturally do not tolerate long shipping or export waiting times,” explains Wolfgang Steckenleiter, head of IT infrastructure at Karwendel.

“We benefited from the reliability, high functionality and ease of use. EVA7 offers convenient functions and we make good use of the high potential of this system,” says Steckenleiter.
