Long lasting milk craves attention

A branded fresh milk product with an extended shelf life hits UK stores this month.
Cravendale PurFiltre is a finely filtered fresh milk from MD Foods, processed at the company’s Hatfield Peverel site where a PurFiltre plant has been installed. PurFiltre technology is said to remove more bacteria than pasteurisation alone. The process is the subject of an exclusive agreement between MD Foods and Parmalat of Canada.
One litre whole, semi and skimmed varieties come in a gable top carton with a resealable cap and retail at 59p. Two litre whole and semi skimmed versions are available in an embossed white polybottle for 95p.
