Clasado Biosciences (‘Clasado’) is pleased to announce that its CEO, Per Rehné, has been invited to speak at the inaugural Gira Ingredients Club, a dairy industry-focused event scheduled for 14 September 2023.
The event, taking place in Crozet, France, is designed to arm attendees with greater knowledge of today’s ingredient technologies, and will delve into the key functional ingredient areas of alternative proteins, prebiotic GOS/HMO (galactooligosaccharides and human milk oligosaccharides), and novel developments in fats. The event is organised by food supply chain consultancy firm Gira and is dedicated to fostering collaboration among dairy and non-dairy ingredient professionals
The event seeks to address shared challenges, opportunities, and trends within the global dairy industry. Attendees can expect a day of insightful presentations, networking with industry leaders, and gaining valuable insights into the latest market advancements.
Representing Clasado, Per’s presentation will centre around the future of prebiotic technology and the expanding global market for prebiotic products, with a specific focus on GOS and HMO. His expertise in the field makes him a compelling choice to provide insights into the role of oligosaccharides in shaping the future of dairy product development, in response to evolving consumer needs.
“I am honoured to be invited to speak at the first-ever Gira Ingredients Club event,” said Per. “Around the globe, gut health is top of the consumer agenda, and the significance of prebiotics in advancing dairy product innovation cannot be overstated. It is a privilege to share our perspective and contribute to discussions that will drive the wider dairy industry forward and provide vital clues on where the industry is moving.
Per concluded: “As the developer of the most studied GOS on the market, we have a great deal of insight into how brands are currently utilising prebiotic ingredients in product ranges, but where could prebiotics fit in further down the line? Moreover, how can brands capitalise on this as the worlds of health and nutrition get ever more closely linked? At the Gira Ingredients Club, we’ll be giving attendees a glimpse into the future of functional food development, backed by our own studies and experience with Bimuno® GOS.”
Christophe Lafougere, managing director at Gira, adds: “As the dairy industry looks ahead to the future, we are delighted to host the first Gira Ingredients Club and offer that all-important glimpse; it’s a very exciting time for the industry in terms of product innovation. We are looking to connect the dairy and non-dairy fields by examining the latest in nutrition, and with a series of unmissable talks planned, including insight from Clasado Biosciences on the topic of prebiotic GOS, we are sure the inaugural Gira Ingredients Club will be the first of many successful events.”
