Tough conditions for top dairies

It has been a tough six months for the UK’s leading dairies.
In the half-year to 30 September, Unigate and Express Dairies saw profits fall, while Dairy Crest managed to squeeze just a 1% increase. Only Scotland’s Robert Wiseman Dairies managed to buck the trend, recording a 12.1% increase.
