UK processor Rachel’s Organic Dairy, together with new US owner Horizon Organic Dairy, has launched a scheme aimed at helping producers go organic. Dairy farmers signing up to the project will receive an extra half a penny per litre on milk during their conversion period for a maximum of two years. Thereafter they will be offered a guaranteed two-year supply contract.
